Police searching for more victims of Aurora man suspected of molesting teen boy

AURORA | Police are determining whether an Aurora man suspected of repeatedly molesting a 13-year-old boy late last year may have assaulted others, too.

Aurora police on Tuesday announced the arrest of Andrew Sandoval on charges of sexual assault on a child, internet luring of a child and sexual exploitation of a child, police wrote on Facebook.

Aurora detectives began investigating Sandoval after learning in November that a 13-year-old boy met the Arapahoe County man at his Aurora residence multiple times to engage in sex acts. The unidentified boy had met Sandoval online, police said.

Police later executed a search warrant at Sandoval’s home and arrested him. He is currently being held at the Arapahoe County jail in lieu of posting a $200,000 cash or surety bond, according to county records.

Sandoval is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 16.

Anyone who believes they or someone they know may have been contacted by Sandoval is encouraged to call the Aurora Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit tip line at 303-739-6164.
