North Aurora house fire displaces 7 residents Sunday

AURORA | Aurora firefighters on Sunday doused a north Aurora house fire that displaced seven people from their home.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 394 Joliet Street at 3:30 a.m. Oct. 26, according to tweets.

Investigators encountered “heavy smoke” before locating a source of the blaze and containing it, according to Aurora Fire Rescue.

The primary fire source was found around insulation in the home’s attic, a spokesperson for Aurora Fire Rescue confirmed late Monday.

No one was injured in the fire, though seven residents were displaced from their residence.
