Man dies Thursday from injuries sustained in Nov. 10 three-car crash in Aurora

AURORA | A man injured in a three-car crash more than two weeks ago in south-central Aurora died Thursday from those injuries, police said.

Police were called to a three-car crash about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 10, just south of the intersection of South Parker Road and East Yale Avenue.

A man driving a Toyota Highlander was badly injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he had since remained, police said.

Other drivers involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and none were hospitalized.

Investigators determined the man in the Highlander was driving north on Parker Road “at a high rate of speed,” ran a red light at Yale and collided with a Ford Expedition and Toyota Corolla.

“It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were also contributing factors,” police said. The identity of the dead man will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner office at a later time.

Police are asking any witnesses to the crash to contact Aurora Police Traffic Investigations Unit or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
