Man, 70, killed during crash with his motorcycle and SUV Thursday in northeast Aurora


AURORA | An unidentified 70-year-old man died Thursday evening when his motorcycle collided with an SUV in northeast Aurora, police said.

Police said the motorcycle driver was unresponsive and declared dead at the site of the crash, East Sixth Avenue and Harvest Road. The crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m.

Police did not release further details about how the crash occurred.

“The driver of the Jeep was not injured, remained on scene, and is cooperating with investigators,” police said in a statement.

The identity of the motorcycle driver will be released at a later time by the Arapahoe County coroner office, which is standard police protocol.

Police are asking anyone who witnesses the crash to contact Aurora police or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
