Man, 18, shot in north Aurora Sunday has survivable injuries, police say


AURORA | An 18-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries from being shot Sunday evening while in north Aurora, police said.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of Chester Street after reports of the shooting. A man, 18, suffering gunshot wounds was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-lethal injuries, police said. The time of the shooting was not released, but police announced the shooting at about 9:45 p.m.

Information about a possible suspect and other details were not released. Police said there was “no threat to the public” related to the shooting.
