DENVER  |  Authorities say a 25-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were killed when a driver fleeing a sheriff’s deputy crashed into their car in Littleton.

KCNC-TV reports the Arapahoe County Coroner says Jayne Frances Davicsin and Ryan Scott Carter died from injuries sustained in the early Wednesday crash in Littleton.

Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock says 20-year-old Deanna May Bixby was driving erratically and reached speeds of up to 100 mph (161 kph) while his deputy pursued her.

He says she was driving a car that was stolen two days earlier out of Adams County. Authorities found a gun in the car.

Bixby is in custody on several active warrants. She remains in the hospital.

It’s unclear if Bixby has an attorney.
