AURORA | Four people were shot and wounded, one critically, outside a home in the city’s Utah Park neighborhood early this morning, according to Aurora police.

Officers responded to the 12500 block of East Kansas Place shortly after 1 a.m. on June 11 after receiving reports of a shooting in the area, according to an Aurora Police Department press release issued shortly before 5:15 a.m. Tuesday.

First responders discovered four victims had taken themselves to local hospitals.

Investigators determined three adults and one 17-year-old were injured in the shooting near East Mississippi Avenue and Peoria Street. One of the adults was in critical condition as of early this morning. The other three victims, including the teenager, were stable.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

The shooting occurred outside, according to a tweet posted by CBS4 reporter Mekialaya White at about 4:30 a.m.

Investigators have not determined the relationship between the four people who were shot and any possible suspects. Police did not release any other information on possible suspects.
