4-car collision Thursday evening in Aurora leaves woman on life support

AURORA | A woman is on life support this morning after she drifted over a median on South Parker Road Thursday evening and struck several oncoming vehicles, according to Aurora police.

Investigators believe the woman, who was driving a Honda sedan, crossed the median while driving north on Parker just north of the intersection with East Quincy Avenue, according to Sgt. Greg Garcia, spokesman for the Aurora Police Department.

The woman struck three oncoming vehicles in the southbound lane of Parker, including one vehicle head-on, police said.

After initially describing the collision as fatal on Twitter, police amended their statement and clarified that the driver remains on life support.

The crash at about 5:40 p.m. June 4 caused significant traffic delays in the area for several hours.
