AURORA | The last patient from the July 20 Aurora theater shooting has been released from the hospital after almost two months of treatment.
Caleb Medley, who spent several weeks in a medically induced coma after being shot inside the Century Aurora 16 theater, was released from University Hospital this afternoon and will be transferred to a long-term care facility, a hospital spokesman said.
Medley was one of 23 patients treated at UCH following the shootings. Medical Center of Aurora treated 18 patients and a handful were treated at other area hospitals.
In all, 12 people were killed and 58 injured in the shootings during a midnight showing of “The Dark Night Rises.”
