DENVER | Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper raised $151,636 for his re-election campaign during the last two weeks, and he has nearly $1 million cash on hand.

His campaign announced the figures Monday. The reporting period for which Hickenlooper raised the money covered May 29 through June 11.

The campaign recently bought $906,050 for television advertising that will run from Oct. 7 through Nov. 3, the day before the election. On June 24, Republicans will choose a candidate to challenge Hickenlooper. The candidates are Republican Secretary of State Scott Gessler, former Congressman Tom Tancredo, former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez, and Mike Kopp, who is a former state Senate Republican leader.

The governor’s campaign has raised about $2.9 million for the re-election push.
