The perks of living in the digital age means that any of us blessed enough to live in Colorado can fire up an app to order up a mustachioed car to taxi us from one excellent craft brewery to the next without ever once worrying about setting ourselves behind the wheel or, subsequently, in jail on a DUI.
So while it’s never been easier to take the DIY approach to going on a tech-age pub crawl, sometimes it’s just better to let someone set the itinerary and go with the flow.
Anyone serious about their brews has already canvassed the best that FoCo has to offer, but the Magic Bus in Fort Collins is a solid way to steer your out-of-stater inebriation tourists away from the pot shops for most of a day and appreciate the fact that before this became the marijuana capital of America, Colorado kicked the rest of the country’s keister in filling bottles, cans, kegs and barrels with the sudsy stuff.
Each tour gets you to three or four of FoCo’s best: Equinox, Odell, New Belgium, Funkwerks, Snowbank, 1933, Pateros Creek, Big Horn, Coopersmiths, Fort Collins Brewery and Horse and Dragon.
Tours launch around 12:15 or 1:15 p.m. Fridays through Sundays and run about $55 per person. For tickets, visit www.TheMagicBusTours.com.
