AURORA | Aurora tallied its 12th traffic-related death of the year last week after a man injured in a three-vehicle collision in north Aurora died, according to Aurora police.
The unidentified man was injured around 6 p.m. May 8 during a three-car collision near East Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street, police said.
The man was hospitalized for nine days before being pronounced dead the evening of May 17.
He was originally cited for running a red light, according to Lt. Jad Lanigan with the Aurora Police Department.
There have been no other charges recommended or filed against any of the other drivers involved in the fatal crash, Lanigan said.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office may identify the man killed in the incident in the coming days.
