DENVER | CenturyLink and its largest union have announced a deal that could avoid a strike of 11,000 workers.

The agreement reached Tuesday covers employees in 13 mostly western states. A strike could have disrupted phone and Internet service for millions of consumers.

According to the Denver Post (https://tinyurl.com/q3rg5gb ), the proposed agreement offers lump-sum increases and wage increases. It also provides new limitations on CenturyLink’s ability to transfer jobs to offshore call centers.
