Car2Go adds dedicated parking spaces to Anschutz campus in Aurora

AURORA | Getting around the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus just got a little easier.

Car2Go, the membership-based car sharing network, announced Thursday, Oct. 15, it has designated three separate areas for dedicated Car2Go parking spaces on the medical campus.

Two of the new dedicated Car2Go parking locations sit along East 17th Avenue, with one just north of University of Colorado Hospital near the intersection of North Racine Street, and the other just west of Victor Street. The third dedicated Car2Go location is at the intersection of East 19th Avenue and North Scranton Street, just south of the Henderson parking garage. There is also free floating Car2Go parking surrounding the East 17th and Victor location.

In honor of the new parking announcement, Car2Go is knocking $30 off of its standard registration fee and offering a free 60 minutes of drive time for Anschutz students and employees. The registration fee is $5 with the promotion.

Though Car2Go vehicles are permitted to park for free at Denver city meters, users must pay the standard meter rate in Aurora, according to a press release.

Car2Go has a fleet of about 350 smart cars spread across the metro area.
