AURORA | An Aurora boy was rushed to surgery after a shooting Monday afternoon at an apartment complex in the northeast part of the city.

Scant details were released yesterday, even hours after the shooting and no further information was released Tuesday morning.

Aurora police said the shooting happened inside an apartment hallway in a complex in the 5700 block of Genoa Way. The complex is near Peña Boulevard and East 56th Avenue, in far northeast Aurora, near Green Valley Ranch.

Police said in a tweet that the victim is a “juvenile male” but did not release further details about his age or condition.

No information on a potential suspect has been released.
