Aurora man convicted of sex assault on mentally disabled woman

AURORA | A 50-year-old Aurora man was convicted Friday of sexually assaulting a mentally disabled woman at an Aurora group home, Adams County prosecutors said.

William Jesse Rattler was convicted of sexual assault on an at-risk victim for sexually assaulting a 55-year-old who was a patient at the unlicensed group home for the mentally disabled that Rattler and his wife ran on Lansing Street in Aurora, prosecutors said.

Rattler was acquitted on a charge accusing him of assaulting a second woman at the group home. His sentencing is set for July 30 and he could face a sentence of life in prison.
