Aurora cops search for helmet-clad bank robber


AURORA | A man wearing a motorcycle helmet and bright safety vest jumped on a counter at a southeast Aurora bank Thursday morning, demanded cash and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The robbery happened around 9:15 a.m. at the BBVA Compass Bank at 22795 E. Aurora Parkway.

Police said the man did not make any threats and did not show a weapon, but demanded money and fled when tellers gave it to him.
